Stop Using Anti-Bacterial Soap
I guess this isn’t news since it gets repeated at least once a year.
The team looked at 27 studies conducted between 1980 and 2006, and found that soaps containing triclosan within the range of concentrations commonly used in the community setting (0.1 to 0.45 percent wt/vol) were no more effective than plain soaps.
Additionally, failing to kill the bacteria can lead to mutations in it that make it resistant to anti-bacteria soaps that use triclosan.
The problem is that you won’t get people to stop buying the stuff. They see the label that say anti-bacterial, and they think, “I don’t want bacteria on my hands (etc…)”. And, you won’t stop manufacturers from making anti-bacterial soaps, for the very same reason, people will demand it. Gotta love the sheep.
