Switching from Blogger to Tumblr
I’m changing yokimbo.com from Blogger to Tumblr. The changes should propagate over the next couple of days. I’m switching blogging services for a couple of reasons. The biggest reason is that Tumblr offers really nice integration with other services, like Delicious bookmarks, Flickr photos, and Twitter for example. That integration is all inline, not on some sidebar widget. Similar integration can be had with Blogger, but much more effort is required. The second reason I like Tumblr so much is the simplicity and elegance of it. Tumblr blog, or Tumblogs as they call them, typically have a very clean look to them. They are completely customizable, so someone can certainly make theirs look like crap. But out of the box they look great. The switch to Tumblr can take up to 72 hours to hit all the major servers, but hopefully I’ll be up and running in no time. In the meantime, please bear with me.
