Apple’s Share of Mobile App Sales - Ninety-something percent
I read the Gartner piece on Apple’s share of mobile app sales, then Gruber’s brief analysis of it, which made sense. Regardless of the real numbers, Apple has an enormous chunk of the mobile app market. It amazes me that despite their huge head start, none of the mobile providers or mobile manufacturers were able to do anything close to what Apple did. Actually, that doesn’t entirely amaze me. I guess it amazes me that a complete outsider was able to come in and pwn that market. Say what you want about the man, but Jobs is brilliant.
