I may have to re-calibrate the MBP when I get up. It still looks red. The iMac on the other hand looks great after calibration!
I think the Spyder3 made my MBP screen a little on the red side. Ever happen to you?

I picked up a Spyder3 Pro as well. Need to calibrate the iMac and MBP.
Got iMac back from iStore with new 1TB HD installed. Apparently that did the trick. Time will tell. $90 service + $150 HD < a new iMac. :)

If the problem turns out to be motherboard, new HD goes into Drobo, get a new iMac, & Nikon D700 purchase gets delayed. That would suck.
2nd Apple HW Test passed as well. Ran Repair Disk from ext clone, passed.
Booted iMac from main HDD! Running clean, SuperDuper backup tonight before tomorrows Genius Bar appt. First GB experience. Wish me luck.

Finally able to run Apple Hardware Test! I’ll post the results when I get them.

Restarted from external cloned FW HDD, this time the iMac’s HDD was not mounted. So, I couldn’t run Verify/Repair Disk.
Can boot iMac from external clone HDD, but not install DVD. iMac HDD doesn’t even show in boot list, but is mount on desktop of ext HDD.

The dark ceiling made bouncing tough, so I used stofens and pointed the strobes a little forward and up.
I’m curious if I could’ve shot a D700 at ISO 1600, f/2.8, 60th to 250th and been fine.
Really wishing I had a D700 tonight. Shot in low light - manual(ISO 400, f/2.8, 60th)+ a couple SB-800s on either side of the room at 1/2.
Photographed a wine event for The Cove Trattoria. I’m digging their makeover. Very nice. Flew in a couple of Italian wine-makers.
iMac in Target Disk Mode, Verify Disk says OK! WTF!?
iMac starting up now. No idea why it failed in the first place but I’ll definitely be calling Apple and potentially replacing the HDD.
:( iMac is dead. Safe mode, reset PRAM twice, start from install disk all FAILED. Next stop, target disk mode to the MBP. Thoughts?
Thinking over Tivo-ing the inauguration, but I know it will be all over the nets tomorrow. Anyone recording it themselves?
I love photography, but I can’t wait until I can outsource some of the processing. Calling it a night for now.
